Neighborhood photo #3: Landmark

Living a few minutes from the Oregon State University campus, I consider OSU my neighborhood. This is a picture of Reser Statium when Oregon State played Washington during Dad's weekend.

Neighborhood photo #2: Portrait

Christopher Wells is a student at OSU. This photo was taken in his dorm on the OSU campus.

My Neighborhood

Zachary King and Amanda Roadhouse sit inside of the Monroe Street Dutch Bro's for a nice warm beverage. Amanda was irritated with Zach for sneaking a picture of her with his phone when she wasn't looking. Campus life is fun- there is always somewhere to chill and hang out with fellow students.

Photos I love

This is one of my best friends and roommate, Kristen. We always have so much fun together, and this picture brings it out perfectly :)

My sister Casi and I fight like all siblings, but as we grow older the better we get along. This picture was taken in Hawaii- enjoying every minute of it!

Photo Critique #2- [[Autumn Element]]

I found this photograph on flickr.com, and not only is it beautiful, it's perfect because it brings out a few Autumn elements. I think if it were not cropped in as close it probably would have been just as good of a picture, although I think if it were it would be more about the pond than the leaves. I love how you can see the detail and vibrant color of the leaves contrasting the smooth pond beneath them. I also love how you can see the shadow of the leaves on the bottom, as well as the coins that bring a little sparkle to the picture. It's just all around a great picture.

Harvest Festival signals that fall is here

Two carnival employees set up equipment for this weekend's Harvest Festival in Albany while waiting for the women to show up to organize pumpkins and "make things look pretty", said one man. The festival has games, children's carnival rides, and pumpkins for sale. It is taking place in the Heritage Mall parking lot behind Red Robin beginning Oct. 9 at 3 p.m.

Changing by Experience

My favorite: My MySpace Blog; Constantly being updated after experience, mistakes, and advice. :)

My First Blog Post: Photojournalism

I think I'm going to LOVE this new major I'm working toward. These classes are so exciting to me. I still have yet to get over the fear of getting into people's faces and taking pictures, but that's part of the job! I'm not intending on being a photojournalist, but journalism in general- definitely.
